Eucalyptus oil is has warming and antiseptic properties that is great for healing bacterial and fungal infections, wounds, and bites. It can also help to relieve cystitis or urinary tract infection.
Eucalyptus oil also has the benefits in toning and balances oily or acne-prone skin. One of the way is to use a facial steam with a few drops of Eucalyptus oil to help in cleansing and toning the skin.
The oil can also be added to a base oil or an ointment to warm and loosen tight muscles and joints. It also refreshes the mind, combat headaches, and improve concentration.
It is known for its use in inhalants and vapor rubs, and as a household disinfectant and cleaner.
In aromatherapy, Eucalyptus oil may be used for frequent sneezing, flu, sinus, respiratory problems, insect repellant, clearing headaches and helping to improve concentration.
Blended in carrier oil, base cream or in the bath
Eucalyptus oil can be used in blended massage oil, or diluted in the bath, to assist with arthritis, asthma, bronchitis, mucous congestion, colds, headaches, rheumatism, sinusitis, catarrh, fatigue and muscular aches and pains. Apart from giving pain relief to muscular spasms and rheumatism, Eucalyptus oil can help speed up the healing of slow healing wounds and ulcers, calm skin eruptions and clear congested skin.
Mouthwash or gargle
When Eucalyptus oil is diluted with water for a gargle, it can be used to sooth a sore throat.

Eucalyptus oil should be used with care. People with high blood pressure and epilepsy should avoid it. Excessive use of this oil may cause headaches.
Eucalyptus oil may irritate sensitive skin and cause dermatitis in certain individuals. It is best to always dilute Eucalyptus Oil with a base or carrier oil, lotion or water before applying or spraying it to the skin and to refrain for applying it pure on the skin.
